10 Simpsons foods to eat while watching the epic 'Simpsons' marathon this week

When it was announced that FXX would be celebrating its recent licensing of syndication rights to the Simpsons by airing all 522 episodes in chronological order, the spinoff of FX Networks was essentially writing themselves into TV history.

The 25 season-long marathon will go down as the longest binge-watching marathon ever and will last over 12 days in total after starting on Thursday, Aug. 21, and continuing through to Labor Day. In 2012, two diehard Simpsons fans set an all-time world record for marathon-watching when they watched three days, 14 hours, and 37 minutes of straight Simpsons episodes back-to-back. If you plan on buckling up for this week's marathon you'll be beating that world record by nearly nine days.

But of course, what's a great binge-watching session without some awesome food for when the munchies strike? Even better, show-themed food (blue rock candy for the "Breaking Bad" finale?) really seals the deal if you're going to go all the way...and let's be honest: going all the way makes it so much more memorable.

If you're going to go all the way this week with your Simpsons binge-watching marathon, remember to shower at least once a day, change your pajamas at least once and load up on these Simpsons-related food and drinks:

Butterfingers

-Nobody better lay a finger on my Butterfinger, man.

Donuts

-Need we say anything else? Just be sure to get the pink frosting and sprinkles.

Duff Beer

-Because without it, what would rest on Homer's belly while watching TV?

Homer's Cinnamon Donut Cereal

-Two of the best breakfast inventions combined into one? Yes, please!

Cap n' Crunch

-In the episode 'Little Orphan Millie,' Homer attempts to cheer Milhouse up with some good ol' Cap n' Crunch...because it exists to make us happy.

Almond Joy

-In the episode 'Lisa the Drama Queen,' Apu recommends this delicious classic to Lisa...much to Bart's 'Butterfinger-spokesman' dismay.

Newman's Own Salad Dressing

-Did you know that Paul Newman's picture talks to you if you stare at it long enough? At least that's what happened to Homer.

Chicken of the Sea Tuna

-Seen in the same episode as the Cap n' Crunch cereal, Homer also uses this as a method to try to cheer poor Milhouse up. We'll take the Cap n' Crunch.

Ocean Spray

-Also seen in the same episode as the Chicken of the Sea Tuna and Cap n' Crunch cereal, Homer yet again tries to cheer Milhouse up with this tart cranberry delight. We're still sticking to our Cap n' Crunch, but thanks, Homer.

M&Ms

-A recurring candy in the show, it is also what Homer trades his tools for when he has a hankering for some candy-coated chocolates.

You can join the rest of us and watch the marathon over on FXX through Labor Day.
