HTC One M10 To Undercut Samsung Galaxy S7 And LG G5 Price With 16 GB Offering, In Addition To 32 And 64 GB Options

HTC will reportedly launch its 2016 flagship smartphone in April. A new report claims the HTC One M10 will be available in three internal storage configurations when it's released.

It's that time of year, when the biggest Android smartphone makers launch their latest and greatest devices. Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge at Mobile World Congress alongside rival LG, which launched its LG G5 modular smartphone. Preorders for the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge have already kicked off, and Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint have announced they will offer the LG G5 in the coming weeks.

HTC broke from tradition and didn't show off its next-gen smartphone, the HTC One M10, at Mobile World Congress, like it had with the One M7, One M8 and One M9. Instead, the company is expected to hold a press event in April to release its Galaxy S7 and LG G5 competitor.

We recently reported that HTC tweeted a teaser image of the HTC One M10, confirming its updated chamfered-edge design and hinting at powerful, high-end specs. The smartphone is rumored to include an updated 12 megapixel UltraPixel rear camera. Now, a new report claims the HTC One M10 will be available in three internal storage configurations upon release.

According to reliable tipster LlabTooFeR, HTC will make the HTC One M10 available in three storage variants. The following message was posted on Twitter: "HTC Perfume is supposed to have 3 internal memory options: 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB (depends on the market)."

The decision to release a 16 GB HTC One M10 could allow HTC to price its upcoming flagship smartphone below similar offerings from Samsung and LG and potentially improve sales of the One M10, since both companies start out at 32 GB for the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge and LG G5. Potential HTC One M10 owners shouldn't be too concerned with a 16 GB option, as it will include a microSD expansion slot just like Samsung and LG's latest devices.
