Star Citizen is one of the most awaited games of 2016. The project started on Kickstarter in 2012 and it achieved the goal in just six days. The game's crowdfunding record surpassed $100 million in December 2015. Several backers have funded the project with $100 or more, which shows gamers' interest in the space sim.

The game developers say that Star Citizen is meant to offer extensive gameplay that will not be over just within a week. The game is expected to include over 38 playable missions, which cover a space map of around 1 million km by 1 million km by 200,000 km. This is why people are investing in the game in the hope that it will offer an excellent gaming experience.

Star Citizen is expected to be released in late 2016, but a confirmed release date remains unknown for now.
