Samsung unveiled the 9.6-inch Galaxy Tab E in June 2015 and the company has also launched the 8-inch version of the tablet in Taiwan in mid-January this year. Rumors suggest that Samsung will also launch a small 7-inch Galaxy Tab E soon.
Samsung's 9.6-inch Galaxy Tab E sports impressive features that surely attracts many tablet lovers. The tablet has 9.6-inch TFT screen with 800 x 1,280 pixels resolution and 157ppi. A 1.3GHz quad-core processor and 1.5GB of RAM powers the Samsung offering device.
The 9.6-inch Galaxy Tab E has a 2-megapixel selfie camera and a 5-megapixel rear-facing one. The tablet has 8GB of on-board storage. Customers can increase the storage capacity by up to 128GB with a microSD card.
The Samsung tablet has enhanced multi-tasking features such as a multi-window capability that maximizes productivity by allowing users to open two apps at once and view them at the same time on its massive 9.6-inch display.
The tablet also features Kids Mode that offers a number of fun and educational apps.
"Kids Mode provides a wide range of fun, educational apps for your children, along with cute, adorable characters and icons - a boon for younger Tab E users. Monitor your children's Tab E activities, block unsuitable apps and set time limits for their tablet usage," says Samsung.
According to a tweet posted by Roland Quandt, Samsung may soon release the 7-inch Galaxy Tab E with hardware similar to the 9.6-inch model.
If the tweet turns out to be more than just a rumor, then the Galaxy Tab E 7.0 will have a 7-inch display with a resolution of 800 x 1,280 pixels.
The rumored tablet is expected to be powered by a 1.3GHz processor and 1.5GB of RAM. Just like the bigger variant of the tablet, the 7-inch model may also come with only 8GB of RAM. It is highly likely that the upcoming Samsung tablet may also have a microSD card slot option so that customers can increase its storage capacity.
The Galaxy Tab E 7.0 may be available in a Wi-Fi (SM-T280NZKA) and 4G model (SM-T285).
It will most likely include the same software features as its bigger, 9.6-inch predecessor.
Samsung has not yet confirmed if it is working on the Galaxy Tab E 7.0, which means that all rumors about the tablet should be taken with a pinch of salt until official announcements from the company.
