Sony announced a new 1 TB PlayStation 4 bundle with a physical copy of the fighting franchise Street Fighter V. Over in its home country, the Japanese console maker also unveiled four limited edition Street Fighter-themed PlayStation 4 consoles.
Sony revealed the news on the PlayStation Blog on Thursday.
"I'm pleased to confirm that an exclusive PS4 bundle will be available on 16th February when Street Fighter V makes its console debut on PS4," says Josh Walker of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe.
The bundle will come with a 1 TB Jet Black PS4, Jet Black DS4 and a physical copy of Street Fighter V.
Sony says the availability of the bundle will vary by country. As such, it recommends customers to check with their local retailers.
As for the four Street Fighter V-themed PS4 models, fans in Japan will be able to grab them for 37,450 yen (about $316) each beginning Feb. 18. The models are the following:
— PS4 "Street Fighter V" Edition
— PS4 "Street Fighter V" Ryu Edition
— PS4 "Street Figher V" Chun-Li and Lara Edition
— PS4 "Street Fighter V" Ryu and Necalli Edition
These PS4 models will feature a custom Street Fighter V theme illustrated by Yusuke Murata. The special edition PS4 models are now up for preorder at the Sony Store. It is worth noting, however, that the video game is not included with these four models, and no word has been made if they are making their way to the United States.
In related Street Fighter V news, a NeoGaf user uncovered a new batch of unseen costumes for the characters of the hotly anticipated video game.
The user data-mined unseen costumes for Chun-Li, Rainbow Mika, Necalli, Laura, Zangief, M. Bison and Rashid.
Rumor has it that the new character costumes could possibly end up as items that gamers could soon buy by means of currency earned via gameplay. Previously, Capcom said that the game will include an in-game currency. The speculation, though, has yet to be officially confirmed.
In December, Capcom began the third beta test for the much awaited video game. Customers who preordered the game were given the rare chance to test it via PC and PS4.
Street Fighter V hits PC and PlayStation 4 starting Feb. 16. It will not arrive on Xbox One.
