Ubisoft Offers Four New Gear Sets For ‘The Division’: Here’s How To Get Them For Free

Ubisoft has released an unlock code for four new sets of gear for The Division. However, this rare combination of free and DLC is only available in the U.S. for now.

To draw attention to the recently announced Agent Origins, a live-action prequel based on the Tom Clancy's The Division, Ubisoft is offering some free DLC for the game.

Players need not watch Agent Origins to get the free DLC. No, players need to live in the U.S. unless Ubisoft expands eligibility to other regions, and there's plenty of time for the video game studio to do that, seeing that the release of the DLC and the game are both more than a month away.

Ubisoft hasn't indicated if there will be more, but the studio has released several live action shorts that serve as a prequel to the upcoming game.

"This thrilling live action video series follows the lives of four agents of The Division as they're activated and leap headfirst into the fight to save New York City," says Ubisoft.

The four gear sets each include a backpack, a long gun and apparel themed after first responders' getups. Those themes include a paramedic, firefighter, police and hunter. Yes, hunters can be first responders too -- most anyone who's been lost or hurt in the wilderness will likely consider them so.

"Each gear set will give your in-game Division Agent a unique look and includes skills that will help you take back New York," says Ubisoft.

So here's that code: AGENTORIGINS

And here's the where to put it: code redemption.

Here's a bit of cinema, introducing the live action series that will flesh out The Division's story:
