Chris Hardwick parodies 'Talking Dead' with 'Talking Bread'

There is nothing better than discussing all of the plot twists and shocking moments in your favorite TV show, is there? Well, Chris Hardwick may have just introduced us to the next best thing.

Hardwick, who hosts the "Talking Dead" post-mortem for the new episode of "The Walking Dead" each week on AMC, gave us a sneak peek of his new talk show from "Conan." Everybody get ready for "Talking Bread," a space for "bread heads" to "geek out about our favorite carb." Okay, this is actually just a parody, and it won't be coming to a network near you, but we would totally watch it if it did.

As "Talking Dead" devotes an hour to members of "The Walking Dead" cast, creative team and celebrity admirers to talk about all the happenings on the zombie series, "Talking Bread" gets down to the nuts and grains to provide some really hard-hitting discussions on carb-related issues. Comedians Andy Daly and Tig Notaro were Hardwick's guests in this installment, and they provided some rather dry commentary on everything from toast to condiments to sandwiches. If "Talking Bread" doesn't make you just want to wolf down a loaf, then you've got some serious willpower, friend.

Things get pretty heated when Notaro says cake is the one thing she would not put on toast and Daly is pretty quick to prove her wrong. Cake is an excellent addition to any meal, after all. Daly also argues with Hardwick on who sang "Ebony and Ivory" (it was Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder) and storms off the set. However, when Hardwick offers him a breadstick as a peace offering, he is quick to return. Who wouldn't drop everything to have one of those crispy, crunchy creations? The show's policy is that whenever a disagreement occurs, those involved must share a breadstick, simultaneously eating it from both sides. You should basically just watch this video to witness this alone.

Unfortunately, at the end of the video, Hardwick announces that "Talking Bread" has been cancelled because it was "boring." We were just starting to get into it, too. Oh well, at least we will have "Talking Red," where Hardwick sits down with celebrity guests to discuss everyone's favorite color. Let's just hope "Talking Thread," a whole hour dedicated to issues in sewing, is also not far behind.
