Members of Xbox Live Gold have just received a gift from EA Games: free EA Access Vault between Jan. 19 and Jan. 24.
This is quite some news for those who own an Xbox One and have an Xbox Live Gold subscription, as the EA Vault contains no less than 14 award-winning titles from the American game developer. Gamers will be able to enjoy the following: Battlefield Hardline, Madden 14, EA Sports UFC, NBA Live 15, Madden 25, FIFA 14, FIFA 15, NHL 15, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Titanfall, Need for Speed Rivals, Peggle 2, Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare and Battlefield 4.
If you have Xbox Live Gold and want to give these titles a try, simply download the EA Access Hub app. You can find it when you click on the Gold Member area from the home dashboard.
"With EA Access, you get a lot of games for a little bit of money, and you're about to get a taste of what members can always enjoy in The Vault with EA Access Free Play Days," EA explains on its website.
Following the free days of play offered by EA, there is the option to become a full EA Access member for a monthly fee of $4.99. If you're a dedicated console gamer, you might want to consider the full-year subscription, which costs $29.99. That's a 50 percent price trim right there!
EA promises that the achievements and high scores from the Free Play Days will stick with you once you switch to a paid account.
Using EA Access, members also gain early access to the company's titles before their public release. Another advantage comes from the 10 percent discount that members receive when they make EA digital purchases via Xbox One.
You get to download and play the first release of games such as Mirror's Edge Catalyst, Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2, EA Sports UFC 2, Unravel and more. Did we mention that even if you play the early version, your progress carries over once you decide to purchase the final release?
One way for EA and Microsoft to appeal even more to their fan base would be to increase the number of titles featuring Xbox One's backward compatibility.
