2K Sports' NBA 2K16 is arguably the best basketball video game available on the market right now, and Xbox One owners who are subscribed to a Gold membership will get the chance to play it for free this weekend.
This excellent promotion is part of Microsoft's Xbox Live Gold Free Play Days and is set to run from 9 AM PT Friday, Nov. 20 to Nov. 22 ending at 11:59 PM. This should allow Xbox Live Gold members to spend quality time with the game, and should they like it, Microsoft and 2K Sports are hoping they will buy the full experience.
"We're excited to announce that all Xbox Live Gold members can enjoy the critically acclaimed NBA 2K16 for free this entire upcoming weekend with Xbox Live Gold's Free Play Days," according to Microsoft.
To entice players even more, the game will be on sale for the whole weekend. Furthermore, if players purchase the title after the free-to-play time is up, they will continue exactly where they left off, so no need to re-download the game. Also, players will get to keep any Gamerscore or Achievements unlocked during the weekend playthrough.
Bear in mind that the sale is only attached to the digital version of the game being sold in the Xbox Store.
One of the best things about NBA 2K16, it gives the player the option to play with 12 legendary teams from the past 15 years. This includes the 2000-2001 LA Lakers and the 2007-2008 Boston Celtics. Moreover, all modes in the game are available for consumption, which includes MyCareer mode, Pro-Am mode, and Livin Da Dream.
The game is also viewed as the best sports game of the year since it has the highest average review scores from critics on Metacritic. It is also tied with Pro Evolution Soccer 2016.
Folks who are interested should know the size of the game is 44.89GB on the Xbox One.
