Well, here’s something you don’t see every day. Among the handful of new consumer UAVs being announced this week by Miami-based Odyssey Toys is the Pocket drone, which earns its named with collapsable rotors that tuck up into the vehicle’s body for maximum portability. Once inside, the drone has roughly the same footprint as an iPhone 6.
The Pocket Drone has a built-in camera that records 720p video to a Micro SD card, 2.4 Ghz WiFi technology, and LEDs so you can see the thing at night. It’ll be available at retail for a reasonable $130. We should be seeing more than just renders at the show this week.
The company is also debuting the Starblade, a two-foot-long triangular quadcopter inspired by sci-fi spaceship designs. That’ll run the same price as the Pocket Drone.
