ZTE has announced a slew of new smartphones at CES 2016, including the Grand X3 and the Avid Plus.
The phones have been on display at the ZTE booth over the past few days, and they are aimed at offering a powerful option at an affordable price.
First up is the Grand X3, which is convenient and affordable and aimed at prepaid users. Perhaps the highlight of the device is the fact that it costs only $129.99. However, what do you get for such a low price? Well, it's actually not a bad device at all, offering a 5.5-inch 720p display powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor, 2 GB of RAM and a battery with a capacity of 2080 mAh. In addition to that, it has an 8 MP rear-facing camera, a 2 MP front-facing camera, 16 GB of storage and audio powered by Dolby.
Next up is the ZTE Avid Plus, which will be available to both T-Mobile and MetroPCS users and will feature the same Snapdragon 210 processor, a five-inch display, 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage. Additionally, the device features a 5 MP rear-facing camera, 2 MP front-facing camera and a 2300 mAh battery.
Apart from the new phones, ZTE made a number of other announcements, including what it calls ZCommunity, which is aimed at allowing the ZTE Community to have a say in the design of future ZTE phones. Only time will tell how much of a say the community actually has in design, but it's certainly an interesting experiment.
