The name of the game is survival, and the wastelands will be as harsh as it can be. The number one survival tools at the disposal of gamers are weapons, and the game contains a wide variety of them.
While the strength of weapons partly depends on the skill of the player in using them, not all are created equally. Some weapons are simply just more lethal, unique or rare than others, and here are some of them with instructions on how to obtain them.
Overseer's Guardian
The Overseer's Guardian is a combat rifle that can be customized to suit the playstyle of the gamer, and comes with the feature that allows it to fire an additional projectile for every shot without costing another bullet. This greatly heightens the weapon's damage output and versatility, and makes it one of the best weapons in the game.
To obtain the weapon, gamers should head to Vault 81, located southeast from Oberland Station or about northwest from Diamond City. Gamers will have to pay up three Power Cores to enter Vault 81, and once inside, can ride the elevator down. Somewhere in the vault is the Depot, where a character named Alexis Combes will be selling Overseer's Guardian for around 3,000 caps.
Righteous Authority
The Righteous Authority is a legendary weapon that gamers can acquire in Fallout 4 relatively early. The laser rifle features a base damage of 26 with a critical meter that fills up faster by 15 percent to launch very powerful critical hits, which makes it a very powerful gun for the early parts of the game.
To get the weapon, players should wait and follow a radio signal that they would come across in Cambridge. The Fire Support quest will lead to the Cambridge Police Station and a herd of Feral Ghouls, but once that is over, gamers will be introduced to Paladin Danse and his team. Continue talking to Danse to eventually have the Call to Arms quest appear, which will lead to a fight in ArcJet Systems. Danse will help out through most of the mission, and once completed, will hand over the Righteous Authority as compensation.
Alien Blaster
The Alien Blaster has been a part of every Fallout game, with the pistol being a small and rare energy weapon that deals massive damage but utilizes a special round. Gamers will not likely pick up more of the 400 rounds that the weapon comes with, though those that have maxed out the Science perk can modify the weapon to use fusion cells but for decreased damage. Until then, whipping out the Alien Blaster should be the final resort.
It is not entirely sure what triggers the alien spacecraft crash event that allows gamers to acquire the weapon, with possibilities including completing Vault 75 and/or reaching level 20. Gamers should wait to hear a noise and see a streak of light in the sky, which could be easy to miss, and then head over to Oberland Station and then to Beantown Brewery to the northeast. A crashed flying saucer will be spotted, and a trail of green blood will lead into a cave where gamers can kill an injured alien to obtain the Alien Blaster.
Big Boy
The Big Boy is a modified Fat Man nuke launcher that is able to shoot two mini nukes per shot at the price of one piece of ammo, making it the weapon that packs the biggest punch in the game.
The weapon is relatively easy to find, but actually getting it is the hard part. The weapon costs 13,700 caps at the Commonwealth Weaponry in Diamond City, but it is well worth that money.
Furious Power Fist
The Furious Power Fist is a melee weapon that has its damage increase after each consecutive hit on the same enemy. Gamers equipped with the weapon that can get close enough to their enemies, while wearing armor that can soak up some damage, can absolutely devastate their target.
To secure the weapon, gamers will have to go to the pond found in the middle of Boston Common. There looks to be a dead swan in the middle, but it is actually a plastic swan that is worn by a mutated monster. It would be hard to take it down, but the reward being the Furious Power Fist makes it worth it.
