DC Developing 'Supergirl' Digital-First Comic To Tie In With TV Show

While it's unlikely that we'll see a Supergirl crossover with Arrow and Flash, CBS does seem to be taking a cue from its child company, The CW, and releasing a digital comic that details what Kara goes through in between episodes of Supergirl.

The news was discovered by Bleeding Cool through a listing on Amazon, and the new comic will be a digital-first title, much like the recent Legend of Wonder Woman.

The synopsis highlights the journey that Kara Zor-El took from her home planet of Krypton, following in the footsteps of her cousin Kal-El, or Superman. It also mentions that the comic will follow Kara's journey in between episodes of the Supergirl TV show.

"But does National City want a Supergirl? Is the world ready for another super hero? And what other-worldly consequences arrive once Kara Danvers reveals her true self? Find out in the stories between the episodes in Supergirl: Digital-First Vol. 1!" says the synopsis.

Supergirl has been a hit ever since it first started airing back in September, so it makes sense that DC will be trying to capitalize on this success with more Supergirl-related content. But hey, more Supergirl stuff? We're certainly not complaining.
