An update to Snapchat allowed users to slow down, speed up or reverse their videos. It also brought 3D Touch to the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. The newest update, however, will make it easier to reply to story snaps and easer to chat.
On Thursday, Snapchat users can now have a chat with friends while viewing their "Story" collection of photos and videos. The new feature allows users to swipe and reply to friends without the need to stop watching a video. The friend you're talking to will receive a notification to the conversation along with the Snap being discussed.
The chat feature has been around for quite some time, but now that it is tied to the Story feature, chatting can now be more personal, and maybe even more fun, considering what many teens use Snapchat for these days.
The new update also makes it possible for users to use its lenses with the rear camera. To activate it, just push and hold a face and everything should be up and running in no time.
Snapchat added the Lenses feature back in September where users could add animations to their faces when taking a selfie. However, it soon became a bore, so now; it is possible to add animations to other persons when using the rear camera.
Not only can users add animation to faces, but any scene in the image. Want to add a thunder cloud over the trees or over someone's head? All possible with the new Lenses feature.
The new update can be downloaded right now from the Apple App Store on iTunes.
