The Recording Academy announced the newest inductees to the Grammy Hall of Hame, adding 26 recordings to a list of greats that has been running for 43 years.
A continuation of the tradition to preserve and celebrate timeless recordings, the Grammy Hall of Fame already has more than 1,000 recordings, all of which highlight recording excellence and diversity. To be considered as an inductee, a recording can either be an album or a single from any genre but must at least be 25 years old and exhibit historical and cultural significance.
Each year, possible inductees are reviewed by a special committee made up of knowledgeable and eminent professionals from various corners of the recording arts. Final approval, however, rests with the National Board of Trustees of The Recording Academy.
