The latest update to Bungie's Destiny has arrived, and this one focuses heavily on Crucible.
First things first: that annoying Nightstalker Hunter glitch that caused the class to dominate in Crucible a few weeks back? It's finally been fixed, and Nightstalker Hunters can now enjoy their Quiver talent appropriately.
Much of the update seems to deal with the fact that Bungie has found quests and bounties for the game's player vs. player mode to be a little too difficult. The developer is adjusting many of the quests and bounties. For example, any quest or bounty that required players to win a Crucible match to make progress has been changed so that players only have to complete a match.
While wins in some Crucible quests will help players complete certain quests more quickly, simply playing matches will also fulfill most requirements. In addition to the tweaking of various Crucible quests, legendary item drop rates have been increased in the Crucible.
The Iron Banner is also getting some significant improvements this time around. Destiny's PvP event now has increased legendary item drop rates, increased reputation rewards for completing matches and packages for reaching certain reputation ranks with Iron Banner.
Outside of Crucible, Bungie is fixing various bugs and exploits, while also giving players the option to spend some of that hard-earned glimmer. Banshee-44, the gunsmith merchant, will now sell weapon parts for glimmer. In addition, Lord Shaxx will now sell the three legendary elemental sword types, but only if you've already completed the exotic sword quest line.
