Mophie is expanding.
Known for its smartphone battery cases, the company announced its lineup of slim Powerstation external batteries that are capable of charging all your devices Wednesday.
Mophie's thinnest and lightest to date and fit with an aluminum finish, the new Powerstation lineup of external battery chargers start at $40 and range in sizes from 1X to 2X, 3X, 5X and all the way up to 8X, vowing to charge everything from smartphones to wearables and tablets, including Apple's iPhones and iPads.
Mophie says its Powerstation lineup was able to achieve its slim size as a result of "cutting-edge, high-density battery cells, allowing a form factor thinner than any power product Mophie has ever produced."
Whatever battery a user chooses to purchase, each external unit touts a high-speed, 15W charging input and output to identify your device's — whether smartphone, tablet or wearable — power needs, so it could then give it the most optimal charge possible.
To stay on top of your device's charging a step further, each external battery works with the Mophie Power app, which monitors and manages the battery life of your phone and Powerstation unit, even sending notifications when power dips to low levels or when charging is complete.
CNet reports that only Mophie's larger 5X and 8X (15,000 mAh) models are Bluetooth-compatible, and via the app, users can track the battery life of their smartphone and Powerstation units simultaneously. The larger models, though, carry price tags of $129.95 and $149.95.
The entire line of slim Powerstation external batteries can be purchased on Mophie's website.
