Billy Idol is going to rock Vegas with 12 performances in the first half of 2016 on his first multi-date residency. The rocker will be joined by his long-time guitarist Steve Stevens and the entire band to perform at the House of Blues Las Vegas in Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
The Las Vegas engagement dubbed "Billy Idol: Forever" will have the punk rocker rocking out to his extensive catalog of songs including "Dancing with Myself" and "White Wedding," with six performances in March and another six in May. Tickets will go on sale on Nov. 13 but presales will be as early as Nov. 10.
Fans are guaranteed to see Billy staying true to his promise of impressive and memorable performances in 2016. His guitarist and friend Steve Stevens himself knows that the punk rocker only commits to something if he really wants to do it and Billy seems to be fully committed to his Sin City shows. "Billy is one of those artists who doesn't want to put out a CD just for the sake of putting out a CD. It would be nice if we did it more frequently, but the fans can know that when we do a CD it's something we really want to do," Stevens said in an interview.
"Watch out Vegas! We are planning a beast of a show that will rock and surprise my fans. Particularly those who adhere to the 'what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas' mantra!," he said.
Billy Idol published his autobiography in Oct. 2014. A year later, he released a paperback and audiobook edition read and narrated by himself. He also released his autobiography's musical reference guide in YouTube on Oct. 2015, which is compiled in chronological order and by chapter. You can check out the playlist below.
