The King of Rock N' Roll is alive! Well, at least his music is. Thirty eight years after his passing, Elvis Presley is back on the top of the charts once again with the release of "If I Can," an album collection of his classic songs reworked by an orchestra.
With "If I Can Dream" topping the charts and scoring him his 12th chart-topper, Elvis Presley has now broken the record for the most United Kingdom's (U.K.) number one by a male solo artist.
"This is an album that Elvis always really wanted to do and he would have been so pleased to know his fans are still there and they continue to love his music," Priscilla Presley, former wife of the King of Rock N' Roll and executive producer of the album said of the feat.
"If I Can Dream" features the talented musicians from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra as they play 14 of The King's classic hits, including "Bridge Over Troubled Water," "Love Me Tender," the title track "If I Can Dream," and "Fever," which also features Grammy Award Winning singer and songwriter, Michael Bublé.
"[Elvis] would have loved to play with such a prestigious symphony orchestra. The music...the force that you feel with his voice and the orchestra is exactly what he would have done," Priscilla expressed.
"If I Can Dream" is a collaborative project that is part of Elvis Presley's 80th Birthday Celebration. The commemoration also includes the launched of the revamped Elvis the Music official website.
It seems everyone just "Can't Help Falling in Love" with the hunk of "Burning Love" that is Elvis and 38 years of absence and thousands of musicians later, he can still prove that he is still unbeatable and the rightful owner of the title "King of Rock N' Roll."
