It's the trailer all online Orcs and knights in the land of Azeroth have been waiting for: the first full trailer for Warcraft, based on the online gaming phenomenon World of Warcraft.
Based on Blizzard Entertainment's popular eponymous online multiplayer RPG, the film trailer first premiered at BlizzCon on Nov. 6, followed by a worldwide online premiere on the same day.
Here is the official synopsis for the Universal Pictures film:
"The peaceful realm of Azeroth stands on the brink of war as its civilization faces a fearsome threat of invaders: Orc warriors fleeing their dying home to colonize another. As a portal opens to connect the two worlds, one army faces destruction and the other faces extinction. From opposing sides, two heroes are set on a collision course that will decide the fate of their family, their people, and their home. [...] So begins a spectacular saga of power and sacrifice in which war has many faces, and everyone fights for something."
Directed by Duncan Jones, Warcraft stars Travis Fimmel (Anduin Lothar), Dominic Cooper (King Llane Wrynn), Ben Foster (Medivh), Ben Schnetzer (Khadgar) and Ruth Negga (Lady Taria) as members of the Alliance, and Clancy Brown (Blackhand), Toby Kebbel (Durotan), Daniel Wu (Gul'Dan), Robert Kazinsky (Ogrim) and Paula Patton (Garona) as part of the Horde.
