Take An Interactive Tour Of 'Star Wars Battlefront' With New Website

Star Wars Battlefront is just around the corner, and now, EA is blowing the lid off most of the game's content with a new interactive website.

Clicking on the "Planets" tab of the official Star Wars Battlefront webpage will let you take an interactive tour of the game's four planets at launch: Hoth, Sullust, Endor (technically, not a planet) and Tatooine. From there, the camera will sweep over the action as Rebels and Imperials battle it out across the galaxy. At various intervals, the action will freeze, and clickable points of interest will appear onscreen, describing in detail weapons, playable races, vehicles and more.

There is a ton of content to explore through the site. For example, you'll learn that Sullustans are a playable race for the Rebel Alliance, with Lando's co-pilot Nien Nunb from Return of the Jedi being a notable member of their race. You also learn about some of the unlockable weapons that will be obtainable in the game, such as the DTL20 Pulse Cannon, a powerful sniper rifle that becomes more powerful the longer you charge a shot.

Players can also learn more about how DICE went about creating the game by clicking certain icons during the tour, which include photos and videos of the team on location gathering data for how to best bring the worlds of Star Wars to life. Unfortunately, the tour doesn't currently include a look at the desert planet of Jakku, which will be released as free DLC for all players in December. You can watch a teaser trailer for the new planet here.

Star Wars Battlefront releases on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on Nov. 17. If you want to play five days early, you'll need an Xbox One and a subscription to EA Access. You'll then be able to take the game out for a 10-hour test drive, with any progress made in the trial carrying over to the full game.
