Since the Oct. 26 kick-off of Destiny's Festival of the Lost, players have been raving about the plethora of Halloween-themed activities—trick-or-treating around the Tower's vendors and quirky new emotes. The Festival of the Lost turned the Tower into a sort of giant party, complete with candy, lights and of course, collectible masks.
However, the most talked about addition are the masks readily equipped for helmet slots.
As of posting, Destiny has 17 masks up for grabs, all of which can be procured at random, when you fill bags of candy for Eva Levante.

One of the questions that has been repeatedly raised as regards to the Festival of the Lost masks, is whether or not they can be kept after the event ends on Nov. 9.
A recent video was released that details how you can collect and consequently keep the Halloween event masks.
There are two types of masks that are up for grabs: Legendary and Rare.
Rare masks will disappear when the Festival of the Lost event expires, but Legendary masks are for keeps, even after Nov. 9.
Upon reaching Eva Levante, you will receive a Legacy of the Lost and a few extra goodies, including a candy satchel which you can then use to collect candy from any enemy that you kill. Fill up the bag, take it back to Eva Levante, and get a Rare mask. The same goes for Legendary masks.
If you disassemble a Legendary or Rare mask that you do not wish to keep, or already have a duplicate of, you get Paper Glue or Bags of Flimsy Masks in exchange for it. You can use the Paper Glue or Bag of Flimsy to upgrade the Rare masks to their Legendary counterparts, or to get Legendary Masks that you haven't collected just yet.
During the Festival of the Lost, you will also need to complete quest objectives while wearing different masks.
Below is a walk-through video explaining how to earn masks and keep them even after the event.
