Destiny players are nothing if not gluttons for punishment. Whether it is grinding for new gear or attempting solo runs of the game's six-man raids, players have continually found ways to break the system and shock the world.
This latest Destiny feat is going to be tough to beat, however. Players have tackled the end-game boss Crota with two or even one players, but nobody has soloed Oryx's son while playing on a Rock Band drum kit before.
Until now that is. Sean Gallagher on YouTube has recorded his supernatural gaming feat, in which he bangs away on plastic Rock Band drums while using wooden spoons for drum sticks.
It's fascinating to watch. Gallagher must keep one hand on the d-pad in the middle of the drum kit to move around the environment, while the various drum heads are used for jumping, interacting with the environment and attacking. If that sounds difficult, that's because it is. It takes him eight minutes of close-calls and calculated attacks, but Gallagher manages to bring one of the game's biggest baddies down with the awkward control scheme regardless.
You can watch the battle in the video below.
In other Destiny news, the hard mode of the King's Fall raid is now live (and has already been finished). If you've been away from Destiny for a few weeks (or months), you can learn about the game's new microtransactions here.
