The release date for Star Wars Battlefront is fast approaching, but that isn't stopping the EA marketing train from letting up. Dropped today during Sony's Paris Games Week press conference, a new trailer for DICE's shooter shows us some of the recently-revealed hero and villain characters in action.
It's fairly similar to some of the other trailers we've seen for the game, but there are plenty of new reminders that Star Wars Battlefront sure is gorgeous. Whether it is racing on speeder bikes on the Endor's moon or preventing an Imperial Walker invasion on Tatooine, Battlefront is a visual feast.
The real highlight of the trailer, however, is the appearance of Han Solo, Princess Leia and Emperor Palpatine. While the whole trailer doesn't look to be real gameplay, we do get a glimpse at some of the special moves available to each hero and villain. As revealed previously, Leia serves a support role for the Rebels, able to call in supply drops and create defensive shields.
Han, on the other hand, is all offense. We get a look at his shoulder charge ability as he enters the scene to confront Darth Vader before the trailer then cuts to a fateful showdown between Luke and the Emperor himself. Palpatine is, of course, using his signature force lightning, and it looks formidable indeed.
EA recently revealed a number of stats from the Star Wars Battlefront beta that are definitely worth taking a look at. With more than nine million players participating, it was the largest beta in EA game history. You can read more about all of that here. Watch the game's most recent trailer in full below.
Star Wars Battlefront releases on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on Nov. 17.
