Sideshow Bob's dream is finally coming true. After years of plotting against his arch-nemesis, Krusty's former sidekick will finally get the chance to kill Bart Simpson in the annual Halloween special "Treehouse of Horror XXVI" that debuts on Sunday.
Fans of The Simpsons have been waiting to see the murderous act carried out since executive Al Jean announced in the spring that Sideshow Bob will "do something he's wanted to do for 25 years."
And now with the date of execution coming closer, you can feast your eyes on this sneak peek for the episode that shows Sideshow Bob having the pleasure of killing Bart over and over again.
The promo, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, shows that Bob (Kelsey Grammer) has found a way to bring his enemy back to life, so that he can repeatedly kill him until he's had enough blood spilled on his hands. And trust us, he gets pretty creative with these killings. Bart's deaths include everything from more traditional ways like taking a bullet to the head to more exotic ways like being fed to a lion.
"[Sideshow Bob's] whole life has just been about killing Bart, so what's next? We deal with how Bob would really feel once he accomplished this goal he's had his whole life," Jean told EW.
We could honestly watch Bart die an infinite amount of times, but don't worry because since the "Treehouse of Horror" episodes are non-canon, so he'll be alive and well for the rest of season 27 if Bob doesn't decide to zap him back to life at the end of this scene.
Other segments that will air in "Treehouse of Horror XXVI" include a couch gag sequence from Ren & Stimpy creator John Kricfalusi and a Homer and Godzilla mashup parody.
