Xiaomi MIUI 7 Global Stable Build Launching On Oct. 27 For Several Mi And Redmi Smartphones

Xiaomi is the 4th global smartphone manufacturer, and millions of handsets produced by the Chinese producer are spread across the world.

Xiaomi smartphones work on the MIUI variant of Android, and its ultimate build, the MIUI 7 will be released on Oct. 27. The software update will happen via over-the-air (OTA), on all devices that need it. The date is reserved for the global version of the ROM, as well as for the stable channel. This means that, if you would like to become Xiaomi's beta tester, you can get the beta channel right away.

The electronics producer announced that the MIUI 7 China stable build is also coming out on Oct. 27.

It must be noted that some gadgets get the KitKat-based OS, while other receive the one developed on Lollipop. No information on the pairing of devices and Oss exists, so far.

The feature set was made public when the public beta began, more or less a month ago. One cool feature of the software is that it uses power more efficiently, so the battery life gets another 10 percent. Xiaomi stated that it optimized the processes so that the performance of the devices will spike by 30 percent.

On the release date, four UIs will be available: Ocean Breeze, Rose, High Life and Pink Blush. An extra 15,000 themes are ready to be picked by users from the MIUI store, currently counting 3.7 billion downloads. MIUI 7 brings Muse, a developer tool that helps designers quickly create custom themes. A child mode allows parents to whitelist the apps that the young ones can access, securing an appropriate-age use of the device.

MIUI 7 is expected on the Redmi 1S, Redmi 2, Redmi Note Pro, Mi 3 and Mi 4i. The new OS will be downloadable from the MIUI download page, which gives Xiaomi owners the flash able ROM for the supported devices.

Xiaomi tested the waters and started a poll on the official announcement page.

"Cannot wait, thank you!" was the answer provided by more than 80 percent of the participants.

We are waiting to see how the new Android OS behaves in real-life testing, as its customization options and improved features are premises for a positive user experience.
