Leaked Windows 10 Ad Shows Off How Microsoft Plans To Take Back Its Lost Empire With Continuum

Those who have been hankering for some information on Microsoft's Continuum feature are in luck: a Windows 10 advertisement has leaked online, shedding light on the mysterious new feature.

A video leaked on YouTube demonstrates how Continuum will actually work. It also explains what Continuum is.

"Continuum is your phone powering a second screen. Use your apps on the second screen," the leaked advert shows.

While Microsoft has announced Continuum, little is known about it. The feature is said to enable one to convert their Windows Phone-powered handset into a desktop, letting one use a mouse and keyboard with non-scaled-down apps.

Continuum will basically convert your mobile device into a Windows 10 PC. The handset will be plugged into the Continuum adapter, which will let users with a Windows 10 PC work on their handset instead, all thanks to the installed apps on their device.

The interface will let a Windows 10 Mobile-powered device convert into a productivity gadget. The impending Microsoft Display Dock, which is said to be priced at $99, working in tandem with Windows 10, will mirror the smartphone's UI on the PC's monitor.

With the dock, one will be able to connect wirelessly, operate the smartphone as a PC and make the most of a desktop experience with the Office Mobile apps.

According to the leaked ad, one can still use their smartphone even when it is being used as a second screen. Users can still receive or make calls when Continuum is in use.

The much-touted Continuum feature could potentially boost Microsoft's game and mobile platform presence and also help the company regain some lost glory.

Whether Continuum will find takers and give the Windows 10 Mobile platform a push remains to be seen.

Three impending Windows 10 Mobile devices, namely the Lumia 950, Lumia 950 XL and Acer Jade Primo will support Continuum.
