Many smartphones have launched throughout 2015 and it is still not over yet. There are still a number of handsets that are expected to be launched this year, which may attract many customers.
Here is a list of some unannounced upcoming smartphones this year.
HTC One A9
HTC has a media event scheduled for Oct. 20 where the company is expected to launch the long-rumored HTC One A9 smartphone. Various images and hardware specs of the phone has leaked online.
The upcoming HTC smartphone is estimated to sport a 5-inch full HD AMOLED display with 1,080 x 1,920 pixels resolution and 441ppi. If rumors are to be believed then an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor and 2 GB of RAM are expected to power the HTC One A9.
The HTC offering may be available with just 16 GB on-board storage but users can expand the memory with a microSD card.
The HTC One A9 may come equipped with a 13MP primary camera and a 4MP selfie camera. The smartphone may come running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
OnePlus X or OnePlus Mini
The OnePlus One and the OnePlus 2 have attracted many smartphone customers and the company wants to leverage the popularity of these handsets with the launch of the OnePlus X, also known as the OnePlus Mini, this year.
The OnePlus X may boast a 5-inch display with 1,920 x 1,080 pixels resolution. A powerful 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 processor and 3GB of RAM are expected to power the OnePlus X. Rumors claim that just like the OnePlus 2 the OnePlus X may also be available in 16GB and 64GB internal storage. However, the OnePlus X is rumored to come with a microSD card slot, which is absent in the OnePlus 2.
Speculations suggest that the upcoming OnePlus handset will be equipped with a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. The OnlePlus X will come running on the Oxygen OS that is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
OnePlus has an event scheduled for Oct. 29 in London where the company may take the wraps off the OnePlus X.
BlackBerry Priv
Rumors of the BlackBerry Priv have been circling for many months but the Canadian company is yet to confirm the handset. The Priv will be the first BlackBerry handset to come running on Android.
The BlackBerry slider handset will have a 5.4-inch QHD display with 2,560 x 1,440 pixels resolution. A hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor and 3GB of RAM are estimated to power the BlackBerry device.
Previous rumors suggest that the Priv will pack a 21MP front-facing camera and a 5MP rear-facing camera. The smartphone may be available with 32GB on-board storage and a microSD card slot to expand the storage capacity.
The company has not yet confirmed a launch date for its first Android-based phone but speculations are rife that BlackBerry will officially launch the Priv in late 2015.
Motorola Droid MAXX 2
Motorola has already released a number of handsets this year including the Moto G (3rd generation), Moto X Style and Moto X Play. However, the company is still expected to launch the Droid MAXX 2 in late October.
Motorola has an event planned in New York on Oct. 27 where the company may showcase the Droid MAXX 2.
The impending Droid MAXX 2 will boast a 5.5-inch full HD screen with 1,920 x 1,080 pixels resolution. Under the hood will be a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 614 processor and 2GB of RAM. Users will get 32GB of internal storage that is expandable to 128GB via a microSD card.
The Motorola handset is speculated to have a 21MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera.
