Jurassic World Re-Imagined As 1978 Film Starring Charlton Heston [Video]

We have all seen some of the best classic films make a comeback, but what happens when a modern film turns retro? YouTube user ChiefBrodyRules shows just what happens when we take a contemporary film filled with fantastic visual effects and send it back to the past with the 1978 re-imagination of 2015's "Jurassic World."

The trailer sees the likes of Michael Caine, the ever-reliable Alfred Pennyworth in "Batman Begins" and its sequels; Raquel Welch, the bikini-clad Amazonian in 1966's "One Million Years B.C.;" Richard Pryor, known for his role as Wendell Scott in "Greased Lightning" and much appreciated for his stand-up comedy; and Charlton Heston, who took the role of Marc Anthony in both "Julius Caesar" and "Anthony and Cleopatra," as well as the narrator of many films; among other big stars of the 70s. The trailer is a montage of different films from that era and goes the extra mile by putting together the trailer like how films were marketed in that time period. A shot from "Godzilla" would probably have been included if it wasn't in black and white and released 24 years prior to 1978.

Take a three-minute break to watch the trailer below.

What do you think?

It is no wonder that ChiefBrodyRules turned its attention to "Jurassic World." The 2015 film is, after all, currently the highest-grossing film of 2015. There's more because the sequel to "Jurassic World" is scheduled for a 2018 release with the possibility that characters from the original "Jurassic Park" series would return.

If you want to take home some of the ferocious dinosaurs yourselves, "Jurassic World" is releasing its DVD and Blu-Ray discs on Oct. 20.

There is one thing missing from the 1978 version of the film, which grabbed the audience's attention during the stampede, though. Where is the guy who was running off with his Margarita?
