Things are really racing full steam ahead on The CW's The Flash. Fans of the show have been introduced to quite a few new characters on the hit series, including the alternate universe Flash Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears) and villain Atom Smasher (Adam Copeland).
And just when you thought the the list of villains couldn't get better, after watching last night's episode we know that could not be further from the truth—after all, we are only two episodes in.
After episode 2 "Flash of Two Worlds" debuted, we got a look at what Barry and his team are facing next in a dramatic and very intense extended trailer. Brace yourself, people, because we are finally getting to see one our our favorite villains enter the scene—Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller).
In next week's episode titled "Family of Rogues," the upcoming Legend of Tomorrow star returns, but quickly finds himself into some trouble and is kidnapped.
Barry and his team must then work with the villain's sister to bring the baddie back safely. However, Barry learns he has been fooled all along and Captain Cold has really teamed up with his villainous father Lewis Snart (Michael Ironisde).
In the promo, we see Captain Cold assure Barry that as long as he leaves him alone, people won't die, but this doesn't satisfy our hero.
"Your dad won't care if people die," Barry responds. "I will take you down."
But we know that The Flash is not warming up to the idea that these two are working together. We see that Captain Cold takes matters into his own hands to freeze The Flash when the two get caught red-handed.
"I didn't think you had it in you, son," Lewis Snart says.
The official synopsis for The Flash season 2, episode 3 "Family Of Rogues" is as follows:
When Barry (Grant Gustin) and the team find out Captain Cold (guest star Wentworth Miller) has been kidnapped, they form an uneasy alliance with his sister, Lisa (guest star Peyton List). However, Barry feels double-crossed when he finds out Snart is working with his father, Lewis Snart (guest star Michael Ironside) on a heist. Meanwhile, Joe (Jesse L. Martin) is faced with a difficult decision. John Showalter directed the episode written by Julian Meiojas & Katherine Walczak.
