Apple rolls out OS X 10.9.4 with fixes for Wi-Fi issues

Good news for Mac users as Apple has begun rolling out the OS X 10.9.4 update, which fixes minor bugs and Wi-Fi issues.

On Monday, June 30, Apple updated the version 10.9.3 for its desktop OS X mavericks to 10.9.4, which the company recommends all the OS X Mavericks users install.

"The OS X Mavericks 10.9.4 Update is recommended for all Mavericks users. It improves the stability, compatibility, and security of your Mac," notes Apple.

The 10.9.4 update brings several bug fixes and improvements users' way, as follows:

- Fix for the Wi-Fi connectivity problem which prevented certain Macs from connecting to Wi-Fi networks automatically.

- Fix for the problem which made the Apple logo or background appear in an incorrect manner when the device was started.

- Reliability of waking from sleep is improved.

- Inclusion of Safari 7.0.5

Along with the update for OS X Mavericks, Apple has also pushed out iOS 7.1.2. The over-the-air (OTA) update brings enhancements to Mail, iBeacon, as well as some bug fixes to the platform.

The bug fix for Wi-Fi will be welcome by affected iFans who had to resort to temporary workarounds (which included deleting Bluetooth files).

The update is not a very large one and is 300MB. Mac users can download version 10.9.4 via Software Update or from Apple's support site in either delta or combo packages.
