The 64GB version of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is up for grabs on eBay for $549.99, only in limited quantities.
The Galaxy S6 Edge started shipping to customers in April this year and the handset gained a lot of popularity in the smartphone space. However, the steep price of the Galaxy S6 Edge deterred many customers from purchasing the mobile phone.
The launch and release of the Galaxy S6 Edge+ in August this year has pushed down the prices of the Galaxy S6 Edge. In late September, the 32GB model internationally locked GSM model of the Galaxy S6 Edge was available via eBay for just $499.99.
Now a 64GB factory unlocked GSM Galaxy S6 Edge is available for $549.99 on eBay. The gold, white and green models of the mobile phone are out of stock from the eBay seller and customers just have the option of buying the black color of the smartphone.
As part of the deal, the eBay seller is also throwing a Samsung clear cover case for the handset, which is worth $59.99.
The Galaxy S6 Edge on offer will work only on AT&T and T-Mobile networks in the U.S., which means that the eBay deal is of no use to Verizon and Sprint customers. The seller page also indicates that the Galaxy S6 Edge on offer is also compatible with other GSM networks in the U.S. that includes Red Pocket Mobile, Ultra Mobile, Net 10 Wireless, H2O Wireless, MetroPCS and TracFone.
However, the eBay seller has also given a disclaimer asking customers to check compatibility of the phone on carriers.
"We recommend buyers to check with their desire carrier for compatibility with respect to 3G & 4G networks," per the eBay deal page.
The Galaxy S6 Edge sports a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display with 2,560 x 1,440 pixels resolution and 577ppi. An Exynos 7 Octa 7420 octa-core processor clocked at 2.1GHz and 3GB of RAM powers the phone.
The Samsung device is equipped with a 16MP rear-facing camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. The Galaxy S6 Edge is available in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB internal storage options. The mobile phone does not have a microSD card, which means expanding the memory is not possible.
The Galaxy S6 Edge comes running on Android 5.0 Lollipop and has already received Android 5.1 Lollipop software update. It is highly likely that the smartphone will also get Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in the near term.
The specs of Galaxy S6 Edge remains attractive even after the launch of some other top-end phones in the market. The latest deal on eBay may attract many customers to buy the Galaxy S6 Edge.
