The 5 Best Robin Stories You've Never Read, According To Burt Ward

Burt Ward is 70 years old but still going strong.

Ward has the distinction of being one of a handful of actors to portray Robin, the Boy Wonder, also known as Batman's sidekick. As one of the Robins famously said, "Batman must always have a Robin."

There have been many Robins over the years. There's been Dick Grayson, the one Burt Ward played on the 1960s Batman & Robin TV show; Jason Todd, the one that died at the Joker's hands but later returned as the Red Hood; Tim Drake, a capable youngster whose detective skills rival those of the Dark Knight's; Damian Wayne, son of Bruce, who was raised by his mother to be a lethal assassin. If you look outside of mainstream DC Comics continuity, you'll find others, like Carrie Kelley.

Robin is celebrating his 75th anniversary this year, so DC enlisted Burt Ward to count down the "Top 5 Robin Stories You've Never Read." They come from all those years of DC Comics continuity, and apparently, DC thinks most fans haven't ever read any of them.

Do you recognize any of them?

Here's a tl;dr list of the five stories from the video:

1. Dick Grayson in Robin: Year One (2000)
2. Dick Grayson in "The Judas Contract from Tales of the Teen Titans (1984)
3. Dick Grayson in Batman Chronicles: The Gauntlet (1997)
4. Tim Drake in "Collision" from Red Robin (2010)
5. Damian Wayne in "Born to Kill" from Batman and Robin (2011)
