Batman And The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Team Up, Robins Go To War And More In DC's December Solicitations

DC is going to have a busy December. We've already covered news that four books from the publisher will be getting the axe at the end of 2015, but as revealed by DC's December solicitations, there are plenty of new series to get excited about.

First and foremost is an upcoming crossover between Batman and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Yes, DC is partnering with TMNT comic publisher IDW for what is sure to be one fun crossover. It all begins when Batman learns that a group of ninjas known as the Foot Clan have been raiding Gotham City. The ninjas have been teleported to the world of DC from another dimension, but they didn't come alone. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles followed the evil ninja clan through the rift, and they are going to be teaming up with Batman to prevent the Foot from doing more damage. Issue #1 of this crossover goes on sale December 9.

Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael teaming up with the Dark Knight is big news, but it's not the only big new book coming from DC. Riding off the success of her current ongoing series, Harley Quinn will be getting a new bimonthly comic called Harley's Little Black Book in which she pesters the biggest heroes and villains from throughout the DC universe. The first issue will go on sale December 2.

December will also see the launch of a major event from DC: Robin War. The event revolves around the gang of "Robins" who have been fighting crime in their own way on the streets of Gotham, but which has created more than a few enemies. By a few enemies, we mean basically everybody.

Whether it's Batman, Damian Wayne, the police or even the Court of Owls, nobody is happy with this group of kids. We Are Robin proved to be one of the more interesting titles to come out of DC's summer relaunch, so this event should be worth checking out when it releases on December 2.

If that event doesn't do much for you, the second part of the "Darkseid War" will kick off in the pages of Justice League, as artist Jason Fabok takes over. This time, nearly the whole Justice League has been imbued with god-like powers, so seeing where it all leads should be a treat. These are the major new events coming out of DC in December — but as usual, there will be new issues of Batman (Gordon vs. Mr. Bloom!) Action Comics, Batgirl and more.
