Some days we find it hard to crawl out of bed and face our responsibilities. Some days, try as we might to act like adults, things just don't go our way. But no matter what curve balls life throws at you, just remember, at least you're not this poor leopard whose head got stuck in a pot for six hours after it tried to grab what it thought would be a free, easy drink.
According to reports, the North Indian leopard was found in his curious predicament after he attempted to steal some water in a pot from a small village. Locals from the village where the incident took place watched and filmed the cat as it tried to figure out how to get its head out of the metal prison.
Fortunately, curiosity did not kill this unlucky cat, however his ordeal is forever immortalized through photos that have been circulating on the web. The leopard was eventually taken to an enclosure and tranquilized so that the aluminum pot could be safely removed from its head.
“On receiving information by locals, our team reached the place and shifted him to an enclosure where it was tranquilized and his head was freed. After the leopard is fully recovered, he will be set free in a dense forest area,” said District Forest Officer Kapil Chandrawal to the Indian Tribune.
If animals could talk, this leopard would probably say he's happy to leave this embarrassing experience behind him.
India is home to between 12,000 and 14,000 leopards in the wild. Officials from the area speculated that the animal wandered out of a sanctuary area around 20km away from the village while it was foraging for water.
