"Legends of Tomorrow" is the new series coming to the CW that is filled with DC characters. We've seen several of them, but there's one the showrunners haven't been talking about much.
Executive producer Marc Guggenheim revealed a new character fans should look out for in the coming months when the show is ready to hit the CW. This particular character is not one most people might have heard of for, but that doesn't make him useless.
Guggenheim tweeted the image below that states, Waverider Films. For those who might have no idea, Waverider is a character from the DC Universe who is also a time traveler and a superhero. He's a member of the Linear Men, the nearest thing a form of Time Masters.

This time included Rip Hunter, a man who travels through time so much that his body began to deteriorate. If it wasn't for several cybernetic surgeries, this version of Rip Hunter would have been a dead man.
We'd love to see Waverider appear in "Legends of Tomorrow", but we doubt he would have a huge impact on the show at this point. Not to mention, Rip Hunter's father, Booster Gold, is not scheduled to hit the show on season 1, but might make an appearance in season 2 should that ever happen.
Who is Waverider?
Waverider is quite interesting due to the fact that he has merged with the time stream, making him one of the most powerful time travelers in the universe. His real name is Mathew Ryder, a scientist from the year 2030 who fought against a villain who went by the name, Monarch. To beat him, Ryder chose to build a time machine to travel back to 1991.
After traveling back into 1991, he ended up becoming one with the time stream, hence his ability to travel through time whenever he wants. Furthermore, he can also predict a person's future but not that of his own.
Who wouldn't want to see this guy in action?
