Apple Music For Android A Reality: Beta Invites Being Offered

Apple launched Apple Music in June 2015 and the service attracted more than 11 million subscribers by early August. Rumors of Apple launching the service on Android have been swirling and now Apple is said to have sent beta invites to Android users.

Apple Music has one of the largest and diverse music collections available to music lovers. Apple Music started in 30 countries on June 30.

"All the ways people love enjoying music come together in one app [Apple Music] - a revolutionary streaming service, live worldwide radio and an exciting way for fans to connect with artists," said Eddy Cue, senior VP of Internet Software and Services at Apple.

Apple has also hired many talented music experts from various parts of the world in curating playlists.

The popularity of Apple Music has been increasing in the Apple community and many Android device owners would want to take advantage of the service when available.

While reports suggest that beta invites have been sent to Android users, these invites have not been sent directly by Apple. The email invites for the beta of Apple Music for Android devices have been sent by Betabound, a service that lets users request access for various beta programs.

"We're excited to invite you to come test Apple Music for Android. If you're a current Android user that would like to join the beta for the new music streaming service, you won't want to miss this opportunity. To learn more and apply, click the link below. Best of luck! The Betabound team," per the email invite.

Many people may take the email as a hoax but a 9to5Google report suggests that Betabound is a legit company.

"Centercode, who runs Betabound, has been around for over a decade running software/hardware betas. I have been through numerous tests with them. I understand the skepticism but this is a legit company," according to a user of Betabound service.

Although the user has been using Betabound in the past, many people will still doubt the authenticity unless Apple confirms the same.

Android users who believe that Betabound's email invites for beta of Apple Music for Android is legit can visit Betabound's official website and apply to beta test.
