With the iPhone 6s finally hitting the shelves on Friday, Sept. 25, there is a scramble among network operators to lure consumers with the cheapest subscription rates possible.
As the race for the best price for the iPhone 6s heats up, Sprint has upped its game and pipped rival T-Mobile to the finish line by offering the latest Apple smartphone for a paltry $1 per month.
If you own an iPhone 6 you can avail of the trade-in offer from the carrier and get the iPhone 6s (16GB) for a dollar subscription fee per month. By comparison, T-Mobile is charging $5 per month for the same lease offer as part of its Demand program.
Alternately, if you have been eyeing the smartphone's bigger sibling iPhone 6s Plus, then trading in your iPhone 6 along with shelling out $5 per month will get you the 16GB iPhone 6s Plus.
The trade-in offer is valid for both new and existing Sprint customers and is part of the carrier's iPhone Forever program. The promotion is valid in Sprint's retail stores but only for a limited period.
For the unfamiliar, the iPhone Forever program enables qualifying customers to get the latest iPhone model once it hits the market. The program entails a 22-month lease for an upgradeable or new connection, along with the trade-in.
Those who have been hankering for more storage on the iPhone 6s can trade-in their older iPhone 6 and avail the following offers:
- 64GB iPhone 6s for $5.77 per month
- 128GB iPhone 6s for $10.53 per month
Those who prefer an iPhone 6s Plus can take advantage of the following iPhone 6 trade-in options:
- 64GB iPhone 6s Plus for $9.77 per month
- 128GB iPhone 6s Plus for $14.53 per month.
If you have the older iPhone 5s and want to trade-in the same to get the iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus, the following options are up for grabs:
- 16GB iPhone 6s for $10 each month
- 16GB iPhone 6s Plus for $14 each month
