Well, he's one of the cover subjects for a reason.
Stephen Curry sits above his peers on NBA 2K16's Top 10 Point Guards rankings, which the video game maker tweeted out to the masses on Thursday, September 17.
The NBA MVP, who helped lead the Golden State Warriors to a league title in June has a 93 player rating in NBA 2K16. That's three points higher than Los Angeles Clippers' Chris Paul (90), four more than Oklahoma City Thunder's Russell Westbrook (89) and six more than Cleveland Cavaliers' Kyrie Irving and Washington Wizards' John Wall, who each were given an 87, to round out the first five.
It's hard to argue with this list. If anything, maybe Tech Times would have given Westbrook, the All-Star Game MVP, a 90 player rating, tying him with CP3. But other than that, it's pretty rock solid, one through 10.
One would be hard-pressed to say that Curry is not the best point guard in the league. Although Paul averaged more assists this past season, Curry averaged more points per game. Only Westbrook averaged more points, assists and rebounds than Curry, but that was largely in part due to his teammate Kevin Durant only playing 27 games this past season due to injuries.
Still, if gamers are looking for the best point guard to run their team, they'd have to play with Curry and the reigning champion Warriors. No arguments there.
