New rumors have claimed that Warner Bros. is in talks with two actors to play villainous roles in the 2017 Wonder Woman film. These villains are straight out of Greek Mythology, so fans should have an idea who they are.
According to a report from Heroic Hollywood, Sean Bean and Eva Green are the two actors Warner Bros. has its eyes set on to play the likes of Ares, the God of War, and Circe the Sorceress respectively.
Bear in mind that the rumor stated that these actors are only being eyed by Warner Bros., which is entirely different from them being cast for the roles.
These are some tremendous names, and some of the best actors in Hollywood right now. If Warner Bros. can get at least just one to play one these roles, then we would have a lot more faith in the Wonder Woman movie.
Also, it would make sense for Warner Bros. to get these actors because Gal Gadot is not good enough to carry a movie on her own. It needs to have a supporting cast that is stronger than her, and Sean Bean along with Eva Green are perfect.
Who is Ares the God of War?
He is the son of Zeus, a man once worshiped by ancient Greece. But with the Greeks now modernized, Ares, who gains his powers from worship, must now do so from all the wars and hatred around the world.
He's also one of the longest living villains to Wonder Woman. His primary goal is to destroy the Amazons though he has never yet succeeded.
Who is Circe the Sorceress?
Circe is a woman who was once married to the prince of Colchis over 3,000-years ago. She was banished from the palace and the land because she chose to kill her husband for being weak.
Circe ended up on an island called Aeaea where she managed to gain great powers. However, the powers could only be used on the island, so she used Sirens to lure men to this place in order to rule over them.
As time went by, this was not enough as she felt the need to venture outside of Aeaea. Luckily for her, the goddess Hecate heard her prayers and chose to give her what she needed as long as Circe decided to renounce her soul.
This was done, and as such, Circe now wants to destroy Wonder Woman.
