Known tipster OnLeaks shared a new image of the upcoming LG Nexus 5X, which appeared side by side with a corresponding case that's made by Ringke.
The new leak showed off the case's side profile which, based on the opened spaces, gave the impression that one of the handset's sides will house two essential buttons or ports. It also showed off a trio of openings on the back part which, when fitted on the handset, will be able to perfectly cover the rear while keeping the camera, flash and the fingerprint sensor exposed. Moving down the gaze a little, one would notice that the bottom part of the case seemed to have two openings.
It's interesting to note how the leaked image of the upcoming LG Nexus 5X appeared to show Lollipop on the display and how the device seemed to have massive bezels. Rumors say that the new phone will be launching with Android Marshmallow which potential owners should be able to confirm once they get hold of the device.
The soon-to-be-released LG Nexus 5X is said to feature a 2K display of 5.2 inches, a 13MP camera, a RAM of 3GB and a fingerprint scanner. It will run on Snapdragon 808 with 64-bit hexa-core processor and will have LTE Cat 9 connectivity with speeds of up to 450Mbps. Other notable features include memory options of either 16 or 32GB and battery of 2,700mAh.
"#LG #Nexus #Nexus5 #Nexus5x (Thx @neos62!)," tweeted OnLeaks (@OnLeaks).
Previous leaks showed that the new LG Nexus 5X will bear a circular, protruding camera at the rear, laser auto-focus module, dual LED flash and a circular fingerprint sensor. It also showed the device being branded with the word Nexus with no hint of the LG logo anywhere on it.
Protective cases for the device are reportedly being retailed in some shops. In the latest leak, the case is most likely made by a company known as Ringke since its name has been indicated on the side part.
The name Ringke, as it turns out, actually refers to the high-quality line of high-polymer-coated silicone covers designed for smartphones and other electronics by Rearth. The latter has offices in Korea and in the U.S.
"Ringke is the end result of our innovative engineering and delivers a cutting-edge product for you. We design and manufacture all of our cell phone cases ourselves so that we have full control of quality and reliability. We have made our customers our number one priority and work to bring you the best product with the best service."
The LG Nexus 5X is rumored to launch on Oct. 13, which contradicts early report that it will be released in late September. It will reportedly have a sub-$400 price tag.
