New 'Gotham' Season 2 Clip Hints At Selina's Transformation Into Catwoman

A new promo clip has dropped for Fox's second season of Gotham, possibly hinting at Selina Kyle's transformation into the iconic supervillain Catwoman in the not-too-distant-future.

In an exchange with Oswald Cobblepot (Robin Lord Taylor) — aka Penguin — future police commissioner Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) sarcastically notes that Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova), who is also present for the meeting, is "moving on up in the world."

"Isn't she darling? It's like having a cat around the house," says Cobblepot, "but no horrid dead mice."

Soon after, Gordon decides to call in a favor with the burgeoning crime syndicate overlord — which may or may not be surprising, given that Gordon apparently resigns from his job in the second season opener. The favor? To get the current commissioner, Loeb, fired, and for the brooding Gordon to get his job back. Of course, the future Penguin asks for a favor in return — with some potentially seedy implications.

Gotham returns to Fox on Monday, Sept. 21 at 8 p.m. EST.

Check out Cobblepot, Gordon and Kyle's cat-and-mouse games in the clip below.
