iPad Pro Pricing Revealed: Apple’s New Tablet Said To Start At 32GB For $799

The iPad Pro is only hours from being unveiled, which only makes the rumor mill churning even faster. The latest we have gathered about Apple's long-rumored large-screen tablet is its price, which is said to start at $799 for the entry-level model.

A new report from 9to5Mac reveals that, unlike the smaller and earlier iPads, which offer 16GB of storage for the low-end variant, the new iPad Pro will start at 32GB with a price of $799.

That said, Apple will go the usual route of tacking on an additional $100 for each variant up the storage tier, making the 64GB variant $899 and the 128GB variant $999.

And, in keeping with adding another $130 premium for the LTE-enabled iPads, the 32GB LTE iPad Pro could cost $929, while the 64GB and 128GB variants cross MacBook territory with price tags of $1029 and $1129 respectively.

Earlier reports have also claimed that the iPad Pro will come with its own stylus, but it will not come bundled with the tablet. Instead, the stylus will be available as a separate accessory that customers can purchase if they want to, and it also likely command a premium price tag of its own. We reported earlier that the iPad Pro stylus will not likely be your regular, run-of-the-mill stylus, but a Bluetooth-enabled digital pen that can detect surfaces and create different textures for users.

Given how the iPad Pro is being priced into the thousand-dollar range, the 12.9-inch slate cannot simply be a larger iPad with an optional stylus. However, there is not much we currently know about the device that is expected to be revealed in a few hours.

We do know, though, that the iPad Pro could possibly be powered by Apple's latest and most powerful chip, the A9X processor, which will give it a huge boost in performance as compared to the A8X chip on the iPad Air 2. Additionally, it is expected to feature Apple's new pressure-sensitive touchscreen technology called Force Touch as well as its Split View multitasking feature that allows users to view two apps side by side. Word has it that Apple is also working on a special new keyboard for the iPad Pro, but no details were disclosed.
