According to Apple news website 9to5Mac, the upcoming iPad Pro will have a "monster" screen that will be able to display two full-sized apps at the same time.
The website has gathered several new details regarding the tablet from several sources, with the capability of the iPad Pro's screen among the highlighted new pieces of information for the device.
According to 9to5Mac, the 12.9-inch display of the iPad Pro, to be able to provide truly "Pro" capabilities, will feature a largely improved split-screen landscape mode that will allow the user to display two full-sized iPad apps in portrait orientation side by side.
The introduction of such a feature could have a myriad of applications for iPad Pro users, who will be able to use two apps side by side without having to switch between them manually. The feature could also possibly spawn new apps that can take advantage of the side-by-side functionality of the tablet.
To be able to power such a feature, the iPad Pro will reportedly be powered by an A9X chip, which is said to be a significant improvement compared to the A8X chip that powers the iPad Air 2.
Other new information regarding the iPad Pro is that the base model for the tablet will likely be 64GB, eschewing the traditional 16GB base models that were seen for the previous iPad Air and iPad Mini tablets. Apple will also be releasing a 128GB model for the iPad Pro.
The iPad Pro will be shipping with iOS 9.1 pre-installed, and will come in the standard colors of gold, silver and space grey. Rose Gold, the new color that will be available for the upcoming iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus, will not be available for the iPad Pro.
The iPad Pro will come with LTE capabilities built in, with 9to5Mac being told that the price of the most high-end iPad Pro with LTE will come close to the latest MacBook computers of Apple, presenting potential customers with the option of purchasing either a large iPad or a small MacBook at a price point of over $1,000.
The iPad Pro will closely compare to the MacBook because users have the option of purchasing the tablet along with a keyboard, with Apple said to have developed two kinds of keyboards. One will double as a case for the iPad Pro while the other one is more similar to the wireless keyboard that Apple sells for iPads and Macs. Users can also choose to receive a Force Touch-capable stylus instead of a keyboard with their purchase of an iPad Pro, with all accessories available to users but sold separately.
