Electronics Arts has chosen to heed the call of all sports gamers out there with excellent news that "FIFA 15" will be available for PC and it won't look like the cardboard cutouts of its previous "FIFA" installations.
EA has released a 12-second teaser trailer that says it all. "FIFA 15" will look and feel more alive on PC because the game will run on EA's next-generation Ignite gaming engine that makes use of artificial intelligence so players can react according to what is happening in the game. For example, in "FIFA 14" for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, a player's sense of urgency kicks in as the match draws closer to its end, pressing forward to shoot a goal.
Although the previous "FIFA 14" installment was built on EA's latest technology, it was only made available for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, which irked a lot of PC players since most PCs have more powerful hardware than any of the latest-generation consoles. With EA's new announcement, PC gamers are sure going to enjoy a richer gaming experience, one in which crowds react according to what is happening during the match and players' actions depend on the situation.
"On June 9, we will officially reveal FIFA 15 at our E3 Press Conference," EA announced in a blog post. "Today, we are proud to announce that our EA SPORTS IGNITE engine, powering all EA SPORTS titles on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, will now also run FIFA 15 on PC. The PC version will include all the same core features coming to the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game."
While EA has not released any information about what "FIFA 15" will specifically look like, the game developer has announced that the new game will need to run on a 64-bit version of Windows 7 and up with at least 2.4Ghz Intel Q6600 Core 2 Quad processor and 15GB storage space. The minimum supported video cards are the ATI Radeon HD 5770 or NVIDIA GTX 650.
For optimal experience, EA recommends 64-bit Windows 7 or later versions, 3.4Ghz Intel i5-2550K and 8GB of RAM. The best video cards for an Ignite-powered "FIFA 15" are the ATI Radeon HD 6870 or NVIDIA GTX 460.
Aside from "FIFA 15," EA is also expected to unveil five other games at the E3 conference that will kick off Monday. What those games will be, EA has not dropped any hints, but gamers are expecting updated releases of "Madden NFL 15" and "NHL 15" along with a new "Mass Effect," "Mirror Edge" and "Star Wars: Battlefront."
