'iZombie' Season 2 Trailer: Liv Gets Her Brain-Eating Groove On

The season premiere of The CW's iZombie is only about a month away, so today, in honor of the upcoming first episode of season two, the network released the first sneak peek at what we can expect.

In this new trailer, Liv (Rose McIver) eats the brains of a frat boy and an old man, and since her brain eating means she takes on personality traits of those people, much fun (and adventure) ensues. Liv also jokingly mentions wishing she could eat Ravi's brain: fortunately, she doesn't seem serious.

The trailer also shows a weird alliance going on between Liv and Blaine (David Anders), although the two became enemies in the first season. That's probably because of a shared antagonist in the new season: Vaughn Du Clark (Steven Weber), the CEO of Max Rager who warns in the trailer that "there are zombies living among us."

At San Diego Comic Con, series writer Diane Ruggiero hinted that in season two, Rager is on a quest to kill all the zombies in Seattle.

In season one, things didn't end well for Liv and her ex-boyfriend and potential future love interest, Major (Robert Buckley). In the season finale, Liv turned Major into a zombie to save his life, but then gave him the cure to make him human again. There is also no mention of Evan in this new trailer, Liv's brother who may or may not have survived beyond that penultimate episode.

Of course, things also changed for Blaine: Liv injected him with the serum that makes him human again. However, that won't change his personality much.

"Blaine is still going to be a formidable entity," said Rose McIver to Hollywood Life. "I think the dark side [of being a zombie], provided him with opportunities he didn't have as a human, but I don't think he enjoyed it just because of what happens to you when you eat the brains has such an effect on your life, it's just not worth it."

We can also expect to meet Blaine's father this season, as portrayed by actor Robert Nepper.

The season two premiere of iZombie airs on The CW on October 6.
