There is one thing all Game of Thrones fans have in common: an undying hatred for everything Joffrey. Whether we're talking about the book or the show version of the character, he's whiny, entitled, despicable and downright evil.
Nobody shed a tear when he kicked the bucket in Season 4. In fact, fans cheered with triumph. But what if Joffrey was the hero of Game of Thrones, rather than one of the most vile characters to ever have existed onscreen?
This video from YouTuber Bloodblitz takes that idea and runs with it. Clocking in at over three minutes long and featuring a soundtrack that actually invokes some sympathy for the deceased king, the video is expertly crafted. Bloodblitz has taken various moments from the show, rearranged them and editing the sound clips to make it seem as if Joffrey was the king that Westeros deserved.
It's almost too painful to watch. While those who haven't seen the show might watch this video and find nothing wrong, those who had to endure Joffrey's reign of terror will be able to detect every editing line, every clever cut that Bloodblitz does to make it seem as if Joffrey is a noble, just, kind-hearted king.
Here is a brief rundown of things you'll see in this video that Joffrey never, ever in a million years even considered doing in "real life": 1.) being respectful to women, 2.) bravely leading men into battle, 3.) showing mercy.
It should tell you something about how awful Joffrey is that actor Jack Gleeson, who potrayed the character on screen, retired from acting after being killed off on the show. That's how bad Joffrey is. To watch a video attempting to show otherwise just feels... wrong. Shame on you, Bloodblitz, shame on you.
