In the battle for the most compact and efficient notebook in the market, Acer is entering the frey with its just released laptop model that offers the latest Microsoft OS and comes in a very affordable price that is hard to beat.
The Aspire One Cloudbook 11 Signature Edition came out earlier this month and Microsoft is currently offering it for a steal at $190, perfect for those starting the school term or for those looking to travel light.
The 11.6-inch Aspire One Cloudbook 11 operates on Windows 10 and is powered by an Intel Celeron N3050 dual-core processor. Other features include 32GB storage, 2GB RAM, 1,366 x 768 screen resolution, Bluetooth 4.0, HDMI port, USB 2.0 port, and 802.11ac Wi-Fi connectivity for your fast-paced web surfing needs.
Besides being lightweight at 2.54 pounds, this 17.9mm thin powerhouse also comes with a one-year free subscription to Microsoft Office 365 and 1TB of OneDrive cloud storage when you avail of this upcoming bargain coming your way on Aug. 11.
It is important to note that the Cloudbook 11 only has an integrated camera instead of the usual HD unit and its battery life runs on a maximum of 8 hours. However, the cloud-enabled abApps for Acer that includes abPhoto, abMusic, abFiles, and abDocs, which make syncing files with the smartphone devices easy and secure, does seem to make up for the 480p camera it is unfortunately equipped with.
Since the Aspire One Cloudbook 11 runs on Windows 10, users also get voice commands in using Microsoft's personal digital assistant Cortana, which allows users to set out commands virtually hands-free via the built-in dual microphones.
"This device offers the total package for both consumers and students to get more done while on the go," Vice President of Worldwide OEM Marketing for Microsoft Corp., Peter Han aptly states.
