The price tags for upcoming Apple flagship smartphones iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus have been leaked, and it seems that the company will still be using a similar pricing model to what it has used in the previous years.
The leaked prices for the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus, which come from sources in the Netherlands, also come with the information that the smartphone will officially be released on Sept. 25. However, it should be noted that the Netherlands could simply be receiving the devices one week after being released in other locations such as the United States, France and Germany, where the launch date is said to be Sept. 18.
The latest leak also shows that three versions of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will be available for consumers to choose from, namely the 16GB version, the 64GB version and the 128 GB version. These internal memory capacities are the same compared to the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, seemingly squelching rumors that other capacities will be made available for the upcoming smartphones.
The leaked information states that the iPhone 6S will be priced at €699($780), €799($890) and €899($1,000) for the 16GB, 64GB and 128GB models, respectively, while the iPhone 6S Plus will be priced at €799($890), €899($1,000) and €999($1,100) for the 16GB, 64GB and 128GB models, respectively. These price levels are unchanged compared to the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, which would lead to the assumption that the prices for the new iPhones in the U.S. will also remain at the same level that Apple previously charged.
Considering the previous prices of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in the U.S., the iPhone 6s is expected to sell for $649, $749 and $849 for the 16GB, 64GB and 128GB version, respectively, while the iPhone 6S Plus is expected to have a price of $749, $849 and $949 for the 16GB, 64GB and 128GB version, respectively.
Available colors for the smartphones are space grey, silver and gold, also similar to the offerings of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
Rumors claim that the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus will feature an upgrade to 2GB of RAM, compared to 1GB of RAM in its predecessors, along with a 64-bit A9 processor. The rear-facing camera of the smartphones are also expected to have been upgraded to 12MP.
There have been reports that the smartphones could come in color options of pink or rose gold, but so far there has been no confirmation regarding the rumors.
