Your First Look At 'LawBreakers' Gameplay

As we learned two days ago, LawBreakers is the first game from Cliff Bleszinski's new Bosskey Productions. Bleszinski is previously known for being the main creative force behind the Gears of War series, and fans have been waiting for years to find out what he would do next.

When LawBreakers was announced on August 26, it came with a promise that the first trailer to show actual gameplay would be posted on Friday morning, August 28. That day has come, and the trailer is online. You can watch it below.

LawBreakers is set in a future world where Earth's gravity has gone wonky after the moon was destroyed by a manmade disaster. This unique scenario allows players to wield gravity as a weapon, manipulating it to the point that superhuman abilities are possible.

The game has you choose a faction in a war for control of the planet, and engage in arena battles. Based on this new trailer, gameplay looks to utilize the advantages of vertical movement just as much the usual horizontal, as well as distinct character classes that include assassin, gunner, skirmisher and titan.

Each class brings specialized abilities to the battleground, such as the assassin's use of a grappling gun — useful for both movement and attacks — and knives. Or the titan's massive frame, which can carry missile-launching weapons and some sort of kinetic energy blast that appears to come from his own body.

LawBreakers will be free-to-play, but we think this gameplay looks considerably better than your typical free-to-play game. What do you think?

LawBreakers is expected sometime in 2016.
